School Uniform

We believe that uniform at the school is important because it helps to distinguish the formal and informal parts of the day. Having said this, uniform is smart and simple, and the rules around it are easy to keep.

When a pupil arrives the school will provide PE Kit and trainers, plus two red tee shirts and two sweat shirts for use in the school day. After this the cost of replacement uniform, PE kit and trainers is the responsibility of the parent/carer to purchase from the school. School trousers are either black or very dark grey, and school day shoes must be formal, “proper” black shoes and not boots or trainers, which can be worn after school. All trousers and footwear are provided by parents/carers.

Pupils may wear some jewellery, for example, piercings are limited to a small pair of earrings, or a small pair of ear studs, a necklace and a small ring.

During the evening the dress code is more relaxed and pupils are encouraged to wear casual clothes that are well kept and appropriate for their age and gender. Naturally, pupils are encouraged to wear warm coats in the winter.
